Event deregistrations
With event deregistrations, invited guests can decline the invitation to an event and thus avoid receiving unwanted emails and SMS messages from campaigns.

What happens when someone deregisteres?
The deregistration function allows invited contacts to reject an invitation to an event. By deregistering, contacts signal that they do not wish or are unable to attend the event.
Removal from the contact group
- Deregistered contacts are removed from the "Contacts without confirmed booking" group.
- These contacts will receive no further communications or reminders about the event.
Deregistration confirmation
- Instead of a booking confirmation, deregistered contacts receive a deregistration confirmation.
- This deregistration confirmation can be edited under the "Deregistration created" action in notifications.
Benefits for event organisers
- Clarity: Deregistrations are clearly separated from acceptances and pending invitations.
- Efficient communication: Only confirmed and pending contacts continue to receive information.
- Clear dashboard display: Deregistrations are clearly displayed on the dashboard, ensuring easy management.
This feature ensures that event organisers always have an overview of the invitation statuses and can manage communication effectively.

Activate deregistration for an authorisation group
- Open your event in the Oniva Admin.
- Edit your event and navigate to the authorisation groups tab
- Open the desired authorisation group
- Activate the deregistration

Deregistration form
You can create a custom form for event deregistrations – for example, to capture the reason for the deregistrations. This provides valuable insights into why guests are cancelling and allows you to optimise your events accordingly. The deregistration form can be added alongside the registration form within the authorisation group.
Even for public events, this offers clear advantages: contacts can now cancel themselves simply by entering their contact details.
