Our commitment to the security of event data
We place great importance on the secure handling of event data. Our solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure servers in Switzerland within a secure environment. Oniva has been developed under stringent security requirements and complies with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Oniva operates a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, in which security is a shared responsibility of Oniva, Microsoft (Switzerland) GmbH, and our customers. Oniva relies on Microsoft as a cloud infrastructure provider to deliver a highly available, scalable, and secure service. Microsoft is responsible for the physical facilities, hardware, network, and security of the virtualization platform. Oniva is responsible, inter alia, for application-level security, logging and monitoring of security events, and the monitoring of service uptime.
Customers are responsible for using Oniva appropriately and processing Event Data in accordance with their own data protection requirements. Examples of customer responsibilities include providing complete and accurate information to Oniva, ensuring the security of devices used to access the service, managing access to the service and shared events, reporting security issues to Oniva, ensuring data security, and managing the security of other applications or integrations used within the customer environment.
